Smallville Day

Smallville Day by tripleLLL
https://www.fanfiction.net/s/1886624/1/Smallville-Day
Clark/Lex

Great story in which Clark learns a lot about himself when Friday starts repeating itself. At first Clark takes it as a fluke of Smallville and does not treat it seriously. As time continues he begins to see consequences to his actions especially in regards to Lex. When Lex is killed by his father he begins to take it seriously. He learns that Lex will always be there for him, his friends have their limits, his behavior has consequences, that there those that are stronger then him, that he is not in fact immortal and can be killed, and most important that love deserves trust and will not flourish without it. He finds out what is causing the time-loops and tries to solve the problem. Towards the end the others begin to develop dejavue as they start to remember and he becomes more and more ill. At the end he has to decide if he wants a relationship with Lex then he must trust him with the truth. The author does a good job of creating suspense, angst, humor, and sex without going over the top as each day repeats. Clark is depicted as mature but still young and impulsive, Lex is also young and desperate for someone to trust in him and put him first. There are a lot of mistakes on both sides but it is a good depiction of what a relationship can be if you had multiple trys to get it right. Makes you think what you would do if you could live the day over.

P.S. not my best artwork but hard to do something when you have a headache and didn't feel like redoing it later since I had so many more waiting.

What I do is for me (Lex/Clark)

What I Do Is For Me, For That I Came by Te and Jenn

Great PWP, I do love Lex/Clark and think they could do wonderful things together. Perverted things but wonderful just the same. This is an intense short story that has innocent but curious Clark and Lex in a leather corset? I think that says it all. Definitely something to read to get in the mood. Yum Yum.

Building the Future (Clark/Lex)

Building the Future by Lady Ra
http://archiveofourown.org/works/507585?view_full_work=true

Great story one that combines some of my favorite characters. In this one Clark is his usual not paying attention to who is watching and this time he will pay the price. Two characters are killed right off the bat it is amazing what one change can do. With Clark unaware of what is happening, Lana and Luthor are killed in the tornado setting off a series of events. Clark is kidnapped and will auctioned off by a group that specializes in unusual and highly illegal auctions for the very rich.  Luckily Tony Dinozzo is visiting his cousin Martha and agrees that Lex is the best chance that Clark has of getting free. They all work together adding Jethro who comes looking for Tony and Bruce Wayne. Jonathon Kent is an ass before, during and after the kidnapping not wanting to accept responsibility for his own actions. I have always felt that 1/2 the reason Lex goes bad is the behavior of Jonathon Kent. Great story, believable characters and some kickass action scenes. Lex goes above and beyond to prove his loyalty to Clark, a loyalty that Clark returns. Tony finds a place to belong and cause to believe in, Jethro finds that he needs more then work in order to live and Martha finds that she is ready to step up and believe in others to help Clark become all that he can be.

Teen of Steel, Man of Means (Clex)

Teen of Steel, Man of Means by Anne Higgins

One of the first stories I read in this fandom and still one of my favorites. I always thought that Clark was as much to blame as Luthor for Lex going bad. He is supposed to be his best friend and spends all his time lying to him and not doing it well. Here Clark gets his head out of his ass and realizes that normal is overrated and that he needs Lex in his life which means he needs the truth. Good story with believable characterization. I love Clark's line to his father.

"I need you to rank it for me, Dad."

"Rank it?"

"I'm 15; he's 21. He's a guy. He's Lex. Which one pisses you off the most?"

Good story with a good followup story 10 years down the road. I wish there was more in this universe.
