Slash Kakashi/Iruka

An excellent story that covers Iruka from when he first meets Kakashi at the age of 6 until they are involved in his late 20’s. The story ends soon after Naruto has gone on his training trip. This is a character driven story and it is beautifully done. The story is from Iruka’s point of view and keeps a lot to canon. Here he meets Kakashi many times before the exams both as an Anbu and as the Copy Nin. Iruka falls in love with his Anbu that saves his life several times and eventually becomes his lover even if he never sees his face. When Anbu-san must say goodbye Iruka is heartbroken but understands. He slowly becomes friends with Kakashi after meeting on a mission. Eventually he falls for him and near the end of the story he finally puts it all together to realize that his first love and his last love are the same. You get a depth of feeling that is surprising when you realize just how slow the romance in both cases is going. While there is action and some sex that is not the driving point of the story, instead it is just how much one person can become woven into the life of another. A satisfying, feel good read that is welcome any day.

Clark/Lex

Great story in which Clark learns a lot about himself when Friday starts repeating itself. At first Clark takes it as a fluke of Smallville and does not treat it seriously. As time continues he begins to see consequences to his actions especially in regards to Lex. When Lex is killed by his father he begins to take it seriously. He learns that Lex will always be there for him, his friends have their limits, his behavior has consequences, that there those that are stronger then him, that he is not in fact immortal and can be killed, and most important that love deserves trust and will not flourish without it. He finds out what is causing the time-loops and tries to solve the problem. Towards the end the others begin to develop dejavue as they start to remember and he becomes more and more ill. At the end he has to decide if he wants a relationship with Lex then he must trust him with the truth. The author does a good job of creating suspense, angst, humor, and sex without going over the top as each day repeats. Clark is depicted as mature but still young and impulsive, Lex is also young and desperate for someone to trust in him and put him first. There are a lot of mistakes on both sides but it is a good depiction of what a relationship can be if you had multiple trys to get it right. Makes you think what you would do if you could live the day over.

P.S. not my best artwork but hard to do something when you have a headache and didn't feel like redoing it later since I had so many more waiting.

Okay I never thought I would say this but Glee and a zombie apocalypse can be done and done well. Awesome story that is one of the best depictions of an ordinary person when the world is shattered. The realization that normal behavior won't work anymore will kill more people than anything else when something like this happens. You have three people walking a thin line between human and psychotic. What are you willing to do to survive and once you make it to safety what happens next. How do you survive surviving when everyone else is lost. A diva, a queen bitch, and a closeted jock are about to find out. This is the first in a series with the others being oneshots of their lives afterwards. The author does an excellent job in describing the horrors they are going through without going into overwhelming descriptions. In addition the characters stay true to the authors depiction throughout the series. This story actually led me to looking for more Glee zombie stories.
