This is one of those awesome "What if the Hokage had a backbone?" stories. The characterization and the results of a single decision are amazing. the author shows step by step what could happen and one event leads to the next in a realistically predictable way. The story makes a point of showing just what a leader must do to protect those he serves how he needs a heart of stone no matter the cost.
